Apple Passwords alternative

An Apple Passwords alternative that also works on Android

If every device you own is Apple, Apple Passwords is free and convenient. It doesn’t run on Android, can’t store documents, and ties your vault to your Apple ID. CabinetPass covers those gaps while staying native on iPhone, iPad and Mac. On iOS 26 you can move everything across in one encrypted step.

Coming soon, free on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. No account needed.

How to move from Apple Passwords

  1. 1

On iPhone with iOS 26, open Passwords › Export Data to Another App › CabinetPass. The transfer is direct and encrypted.

  2. 2

On older versions, export a CSV from the Passwords app on Mac (File › Export All Passwords) and use Settings › Import from Another App.

  3. 3

Delete any CSV file afterwards: it isn’t encrypted.

Questions

Is CabinetPass free?

Yes. The free plan has unlimited passwords, cards and notes, 2 GB of encrypted files, 2FA codes, AutoFill, widgets and Google Drive sync, with no trial and no time limit. Pro adds unlimited file storage for $49.99 once or $3.99 a month.

Can Google read my vault if I turn on sync?

No. The vault is encrypted on your device before upload. Google stores an encrypted file in a hidden app folder and never has the key.

What if I forget my master password?

Nobody can recover it, including us. That’s what keeps the vault private. Use a passphrase of five or more random words and keep a written copy somewhere safe.
